Live Edge Hardwoods Slabs
Zen Space Makers, Inc. uses some beautiful hardwoods for various projects. And in order to help other wood-workers, we also offer some of our inventory for sale.
We want to offer good value, and clear pricing, so rather than spend a lot of time texting back and forth, here’s one list for prices and services.We have four different kinds of wood available.
RED CEDAR - AMERICAN BLACK WALNUT - SPALTED MAPLE - CHERRY
RED CEDAR
Mostly 5/4 unfinished live edge slabs, some 12’ in length - see picture. We would rather sell it as “live edge” and it has rustic aesthetic value there. We can plane, sand and oil it for you, upon request. The cedar was cut and milled in November and I worked with it last night. It’s pretty dry. The moisture meter reading says .07%. Ready to go. See sample of hat-rack we just made with it.
Priced: per slab. Price her 8’ long slab (usually about 10” wide, x 5/4” thick) $280
Price per 12’ long slab - $320 (usually about 10” wide, x 5/4” thick)
AMERICAN BLACK WALNUT
We also have a lot of new American black walnut in stock. It’s not dry. It is about to go in the kiln for a month (as of 1/22/24 the date of this writing). We have 8/4 large slabs, and smaller thicknesses as well, 6/4 and 5/4.
SPALTED MAPLE
We have about 35-45 board feet available. Scarce and a rare find. $12 per BF.
CHERRY
Dry and ready to go. We have about 35-45 board feet available.
