Zen Space Makers recently completed a full commercial storefront renovation for Rain Delay Records, a new independent record store located at 1084 Bedford Avenue.

The project included a complete interior build-out: new ceiling-mounted LED lighting, a full paint refresh, new framing, and the construction of a rear wall and door. We also designed and fabricated a custom walnut-and-cedar sales counter, along with bespoke furniture, birch plywood record cabinets, freestanding displays, and wall-mounted display systems.

Throughout the build, we prioritized durability and material integrity. All cabinetry features solid poplar edge banding—no glue-on tape edges—ensuring long-term wear resistance and a clean, furniture-grade finish.
